Ride over rolling hills and through three charming country towns on this picturesque loop.

Explore quiet country roads passing through rolling terrain as you circumnavigate the Mount Mitta Mitta Regional Park on the Towong Loop. Pedal through the historic towns of Tintaldra and Towong, complete with a historic pub and views of the mighty Murray River. Take a break at Farans Lookout to soak in vistas of Mt Townsend and Towong Hill Station, the former home of celebrated author Elyne Mitchell and Tom Mitchell. Starting and finishing in Corryong, maximise your ride by making it a weekend and stroll the town's boutique shops, cafes and the Man from Snowy River Museum.

  • From the Corryong Visitor Information Centre head north-east out of Corryong along the Murray Valley Highway (B400).
  • Continue riding straight to Towong township as the road becomes the Murray River Rd (C546).
  • Keep left on the sweeping bend and continue along the Murray River Road (C546) to Tintaldra.
  • Turn left onto the Cudgewa Valley Rd (C548) and follow it south-west for approximately 16km.
  • Turn left onto Briggs Gap Road back to Corryong.
