The shop offers a little bit of everything from second hand clothing, bric a brac, shoes and a large collection of books. Run by local volunteers, they also supply free fruit and vegetables from excess supplies from local gardens.
Walwa Community Shop was established by a group of volunteers keen to advance and support healthy ageing in their rural community. Its main objective is as a drop-in centre for people to come in and have a chat, coffee and pick-up some bargains. All profits go back into the community.

The River Road follows the Murray River upstream from Albury Wodonga for a leisurely one and a half hour drive. This touring route is popular with caravanners and motorcycle touring clubs. Access to Walwa via Holbrook, Tumbarumba and Corryong.
