Visiting caravans and campers to the Corryong district are offered an unforgettable experience by host Maurie Foun at his self-built picturesque eco-camping retreat.
Situated not far from the Murray Valley Highway, this venue is outstanding.
30 spacious campsites, 10 of which are powered, are set in its landscaped surrounds. Its views and rustic atmosphere are overwhelming.
The communal camp-kitchen has an open fireplace, as well as modern-day appliances. Its where many, many visitors have enjoyed Maurie’s acclaimed bush-poetry and storytelling sessions.
Maurie also freely offers tips and suggestions of local knowledge to assist guests to maximise their stay.
The camp’s location makes for an ideal base-camp for exploring the region. It’s also a great place to relax in.
Flush toilets and bush style showers complete the facilities, all of which are totally dependent on tank water. The camp is pet friendly.
Site fees range from $20 per night for completely self-contained units, i.e. own power, toilets and showers, to $25 p/n for unpowered sites and $30 p/n for powered sites with use of all facilities.
Small 2 berth Millard caravan is also available for $35 p/n.
