    Tom Groggin campground is set on the banks of the upper Murray River, just off Alpine Way. There’s plenty of room for relaxed camping in open areas, in a lovely valley setting with stunning mountain and riverside backdrops.

    Located between Khancoban and Thredbo, it’s a great stop if you’re touring Kosciuszko National Park and the surrounding high country areas by car. The weather conditions are also generally milder here in the valley than higher areas of Kosciuszko National Park.

    Tom Groggin campground makes a popular base camp for mountain bikers and bushwalkers tackling the iconic Bicentennial trail. You can also explore the huts of nearby Geehi, and take in the views from Scammells and Olsens lookouts. The year-round activities of Thredbo Alpine Village are only 25km east along Alpine Way.
