Tooma - Home of the Three Bridges @ Tooma Boutique Markets

Nestled in the beautiful Tooma Valley, half way between Corryong and Tumbarumba, with an approximate population of 100 people, sits the quaint village of Tooma.

First settled by graziers in the late 1830s, Tooma village like many places in the Upper Murray has a diverse history from grazing farmland to experiencing its own gold rush.

By mid 1870s, twelve families lived within three miles of Tooma village; during this time the Tooma Hotel, school and general store was built.

Today, locals and visitors to the region can still enjoy true country hospitality and a traditional pub meal at the Tooma Inn or settle in for a night's stay at Brigham House. Once the Tooma Store, built in 1879, Brigham House offers four comfortable large queen size rooms, perfect for a relaxing weekend or night away.

Each year, on the banks of the Tumbarumba creek and the road way in front of the Tooma Inn and Brigham House, Tooma hosts the Three Bridges @ Tooma Boutique Markets on the first Saturday in November.

The thirty plus market stalls, local products, food and live music makes the Three Bridges at Tooma Boutique Markets a  popular day trip with both Upper Murray locals and visitors.
