Upper Murray, Parks & Recreation Areas


The Upper Murray offers several parks with fun playgrounds to keep the little family members happy, including the new Attree Park Centre and Adventure Playground in Corryong. Many of the Upper Murray's parks include lovely shady spots, just right for a family picnic, as well as toilet facilities and BBQs. Whether you are just passing through or you're spending a week in the Upper Murray, you are bound to find a park or playground to keep the kids entertained.


If you are exploring the area, or just passing through, there are some great rest areas along the main roads.


Local swimming pools are open during the swim season, with low entry fees. Local bowls and golf clubs welcome visitors and hold regular events and tournaments. There is something for all ages, so why not take advantage of the excellent facilities and get active while in the Upper Murray. The Upper Murray has a number of local sporting teams and comes alive through winter with local football and netball held each weekend around the district. Visitors are most welcome and recreation areas including football fields, tennis courts and netball courts are open for public access outside of game days. The Upper Murray offers a number of spectacular parks and reserves. These natural attractions contain rugged mountain peaks, rocky outcrops and waterfalls and offer spectacular views over the surrounding countryside.
